Talcum Powder & Ovarian Cancer

If cancer is something, you wish for you and those around you to avoid you should know the following. Since the late nineteenth century, Johnson and Johnson has been selling talcum powder or what you may know as baby powder and as it turns out, it can be a killer.

This week the US state of Missouri has awarded seventy-two million dollars to the family of a woman whose death was tied directly to her use of their baby powder. Their mouthpiece claimed their products are safe and deny any issue. The issue lies in both their Baby Powder and Shower to Shower products.

As it turns out, talcum powder used on a woman’s genital area can migrate all the way into the ovaries eliciting an inflammatory response and subsequent cancer. Particles of talc have shown up in the cancerous tissues removed from ovaries. More than 20 epidemiologic studies support a link between talcum powder use in the genital area and ovarian cancer.

The issue with baby powder linked to cancer goes back to 1971 when the Henderson study showed talcum powder embedded deeply within cancer tissue. More studies were held in the eighties when a Harvard doctor Daniel Kramer MD found a 92% increased risk of ovarian cancer for women using talcum powder on their genital area. In 1982, J&J challenged him about the study and he asked them to remove talcum from their products, they refused.

The FDA was petitioned in 1994 by the Cancer Prevention Coalition to add a warning label to talcum products. The FDA responded by saying they did not have the resources to look into it and even if they did it is not a priority for them. Interesting to note that the same individual that wrote that letter went to work for the lobbying group that represents J&J. This type of behavior is common practice within government agencies including the FDA.

Even wackier is the fact that OSHA has required the mining companies to post a materials safety data sheet to each container of talc sent to J&J warning of the risk of ovarian cancer with its use. One steps further into the you-have-got-to-be-kidding-me section, and you’ll find that they are already using a possible replacement, cornstarch, in other products. However I would imagine it is laden with Glyphosate from it being GMO, so I would never recommend it.

I covered the dangers of talcum powder in Chapter five of my book Nutritional Truths, and this case is still ongoing. If you or anyone you know has suffered from ovarian cancer and has been a user of J&J baby powder they may wish to reach out to the folks at the law firm of Beasley Allen. Avoid talc, enjoy your weekend and share as you may.

Popcorn is tasty Popcorn Lung is not

With e-cigarettes and vaporizers, folks can get a nicotine fix without having to light up. Their popularity has skyrocketed and now in any town across America you will find one if not several e-cigarette/vape shops.

While avoiding the 51 known carcinogens out of the 4000 chemicals in a cigarette is a desirable idea, the truth is that the vaporizing pen may be unknowingly delivering a much more deadly set of chemicals.

For the sake of this writing we will focus on a chemical called diacetyl, and back in 2000, several employees at a microwave popcorn plant in Missouri ended up with bronchiolitis obliterans that is a serious and irreversible condition that scars the tiny air sacks in the lungs. It is for this and other reasons it is wise to avoid microwave butter popcorn also.

It is a flavoring used to give popcorn its buttery taste and the employees had inhaled it by working around it that lead to their illness. A seven million dollar lawsuit was awarded to an individual who consumed butter microwave popcorn for ten years twice a day that came down with the disease.

A 2015 study published in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives proved that harmful chemicals associated with popcorn lung are present in many types of flavored e-cigarettes. 39 of the 51 flavored e-cigarettes tested had diacetyl in them, and this hints at the possible dangerous level of exposure via e-cigarettes to chemicals that may cause severe lung damage.

The symptoms of popcorn lung are a cough and shortness of breath. Some people with the condition also have fevers, night sweats, and weight loss. The disease is not reversible.

With decades of cigarette smoking behind me, I get the appeal and should you ever desire to break the nicotine addiction (that is all smoking, vaping, chewing is) I can recommend a single easy to read book. The easy way to stop smoking by Allen Carr.

Everyone has a right to know of all the potential dangers from e-cigarettes, and it is your right to use them as you desire. Now you know the truth, Be Well!

Hoxsey Moxie!

In the 1930’s-1950’s, Dallas was home to the world’s largest cancer clinic that was providing effective solutions to many types of cancer (some folks use the term heal), with 17 offices across the country and a growing reputation for their herbal tonic.

A self-healing horse inspired the Hoxsey tonic and then the recipe was passed on to Harold Hoxsey as a teen in the 1920’s, and his father’s only deathbed stipulation had been to provide the tonic to anyone whether they could make payment or not. This Harold did until the very end.

The good news was that Hoxsey was an oilman first, and the clinic was his duty, not a cash earner for him. He was referred to by his competition as a quack, and he was sued more than any other person for bringing people to a point of wellness and no not everyone every time. He would even pay for his patients travel, hotels, and their treatment.

A man by the name of Al Templeton who was the Assistant District Attorney for Dallas had arrested him upwards of 100 times for “practicing medicine without a license” as by this time the AMA shut down any school of thought outside of their own allopathic care model as they have done since the very beginning.

In 1939, Al’s brother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer and found it removed by visiting the Hoxsey clinic and using the Hoxsey tonic. Al then became Harold Hoxsey’s personal lawyer from that point forward. And several times Hoxsey was vindicated by federal judges and with favorable legal outcomes particularly one against the AMA.

Dr. Fishbein the head quack hunter for the AMA went after Hoxsey time and again only to finally be stopped by his own termination twenty-five years later. Once Mr. Hoxsey won his federal case against the AMA Fishbein was immediately ousted from his position. “I am of the firm opinion and belief that Hoxsey has cured these people of cancer (with herbs). Hoxsey has been done a great injustice and articles and utterances by defendant Morris Fishbein (AMA Chief and Managing Editor) were false, slanderous, and libelous.” – Judge W.L. Thornton, Decision, Hoxsey vs. Fishbein.
In the late 1950’s Hoxsey made an entire movie about the clinic and invited any MD or reporter to visit the clinic to talk to patients, review records, etc. Most did not, but a few did, and they all became adamant supporters of the tonic and clinic.

In 1955, the FDA went so far as to mail out to all 46,000 US post offices posters to be displayed saying “Warning against the Hoxsey (herbal) Cancer Treatment…Cancer can only be cured through surgery or radiation.” Profitable lies told to this day. See the sign below the story.

After the AMA had lost its defamation lawsuit, the FDA magically stepped in to close down all 17 offices and then Hoxsey closed down US headquarters & clinic in Dallas. Before this, Hoxsey sent his head nurse to Mexico to open a clinic there. It is still in operation to this day.

Hoxsey is just one of many cancer solution providers that the government has done all it can to silence. Investigate natural solutions and you will be amazed at how many ways to healthy there are and feel free to share this as you wish. Be Well!
