Papa going to Pot!

Sometimes in life, we find ourselves on adventures we had not expected and my time with my father after a “terminal” diagnosis this past couple of weeks is no exception and by the way aren’t we all terminal?

My father who I haven’t seen even a bit tipsy or otherwise hollered down from upstairs one night recently “Who’s downstairs!” I confirmed it was me and the next words out of his mouth were ones I never thought I would hear “I need my weed!” I laughed out loud and immediately knew I would have to blog about it.

Dear old dad, a veteran of the Korean War who warned all his children long ago of the evils of drug use and how it was a gateway drug now, has embraced this safe and effective original medicine. He uses a Tootsie roll type of edible before bed to aid with sleep and ease leg pain through the night.

Grateful Colorado had enough sense to see the value of God’s Farmacy and allow people access to non-toxic solutions to aid with a myriad of ills. Unlike synthetic petroleum-based solutions, there has never been a single overdose or death attributed to the use of cannabis.

Tens of thousands of people die each month in America due to properly prescribed and taken pharmaceuticals as a side effect. Merck allowed over 50,000 people to die from using Vioxx before they took it off the market.

If you would like to read the truth about why cannabis and hemp were made illegal then review: The Emperor Wears no Clothes, written by Jack Herer and all sixteen chapters are free on his site.

I have asked Dad if he would be willing to try a little puff puff pass, but to date, he says no, I will keep working on him. He has shifted his consumption and begun several non-toxic protocols to combat his condition.

Have a wonderful weekend, love on those you love, thanks for dropping in and feel free to share as you may. Be Well!

Life is Perception

From our earliest learning’s we begin to place filters between what we see and experience and how we perceive it. While one sees themselves as a victim, another who has had, similar experiences will see themselves as empowered and moving forward confidently as they have left the past. A lifetime of suffering may remain if one remains negatively tethered to the past.

While the story of the six blind men encountering an elephant is thousands of years old from India, the poem that made it popular across Europe and America was released in the mid 19th century by English author Godfrey Saxe.

The poem speaks to many ways we are locked into perceiving things we know little of. It can be tied to religion, education, cultural conditioning and how our short sidedness often does us no favors. May you enjoy the story/poem and find this serves you.

Blind Men and the Elephant
A Poem by John Godfrey Saxe

It was six men of Indostan,
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.

The First approached the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
“God bless me! but the Elephant
Is very like a wall!”

The Second, feeling of the tusk,
Cried, -“Ho! what have we here
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me ’tis mighty clear,
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear!”

The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Thus boldly up and spoke:
“I see,” -quote he- “the Elephant Is very like a snake!”

The Fourth reached out an eager hand,
And felt about the knee:
“What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain,” -quote he,-
“‘Tis clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!”

The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said- “E’en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!”

The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Then, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
“I see,” -quote he,- “the Elephant
Is very like a rope!”

And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!

So oft in theological wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and feel free to share this and questions please ask. Be well!

Cultural Conditioning for Profits

As we grow up, we begin to believe all that we are taught as the way things are and of course that they are all the facts we need to know, and they, of course, are the right way to see things. The trouble is that it is our reality that often precludes any real investigation into facts that may support other ways of seeing things.

Take for example dairy milk. Kids are taught that milk is required for strong bones and to avoid osteoporosis etc. and this is in no way the truth. This is supported by the lies perpetuated by the government’s food pyramid that came out in the 1970’s that was created originally in Sweden.

We no more need dairy in our diets than an extra hole in the head. From commercials to milk cartons and a full-on brainwashing takes places in Americas schools within the cafeterias to promote further this outdated unhealthy scam that is just bovine growth juice. They tout it as everything it is not and yes plants have plenty of calcium.

Special interest groups became involved in creating Americas food pyramid, and it worked to push further their products and increase sales. In 1992, dairy ended up with its section on Americas food pyramid since the dairy council paid for it. The wheat growers were able to have them suggest 6-11 servings a day of their needless grains. This is the best the USDA could do, and it is no wonder why we doubt the legitimacy of anything our government or its agencies have to say.

The same thing goes for consuming animal flesh or trusting allopathic doctors, etc. While I grew up attending a Methodist church and eating burgers, some other kid born elsewhere was going to a Temple and raised as a vegetarian. His world was normal to him and mine to me, all at the same time.

To live in the question is a good thing and if answers are sought, they shall be found. Once we get over having to have our way of thinking be the only way and the right way, we open ourselves to more truths. There are beliefs I have held my entire life that disappeared once I learned other truths and some that will likely never change. And I work to remain open to learning from any source.

Defined as the social process in which authority figures, peers, and the media define our cultural values, beliefs, ethical system, and ultimately how we see ourselves. Cultural conditioning also has folks believe that solutions for cancer don’t exist. However they do and in various non-toxic forms. I cover many of them in my book Nutritional Truths.

Next week is the one year anniversary of publishing Nutritional Truths, and we will be giving away a few copies of the audio version through Audible. It will all be explained next week thanks for reading this and enjoy your weekend. Share as you wish and Be Well!

Top Ten Reasons for Canine Companionship

When it comes to dogs in America, we love them. We love them as family members and not as some do in China, Korea, Mexico or Indonesia and half-dozen other places, as a meal. They come in many shapes, sizes and temperaments. They all share several things in common regardless of lineage or breed.

Many folks think dogs are strict carnivores, but they are not. They are opportunistic carnivores and can live long healthy lives without critter flesh. Many of today’s dog foods and treats are high in carbohydrates, filler and very little nutrition.

If you want the very best health for your dog considers making sure, the following ingredients are not in their daily kibble: corn anything, wheat anything, soy anything, critter byproduct of any kind, BHA & BHG, and propylene glycol. Investigate Dr. Mercola Pets for more healthful information.

There are tons of recipes for tasty, nutritious treats online made from plants that will serve your dog well. Also, consider looking into a quality probiotic for your canine friend to allow them to make the very most of the nutrition you give them. No one will ever love you like a dog does so show them, love, too.

Dogs to me are a gift from our creator and allow us to see better how we are in the world. Although I will always love cats, dogs may have become my favorite of the two:) Here are the top ten reasons I have found to invite a canine into ones life. Many of my friends have several of them, and now I know why.

10. They are always up for a good time.
9. They can exercise with you.
8. They can watch TV with you.
7. They love giving kisses.
6. They are easy to please.
5. They are quick to forgive.
4. They will clean the dishes if you let them.
3. They can listen to you for hours without judgement.
2. They love their humans more than anything, except maybe food.
1. They become part of the family.

I recently learned of a situation where neighbors “share” a dog. One has children with parents working, so the dog stays with its second family a retired couple next door during the day. So the dog benefits from all the companionship as do both families! Something to consider if you leave your pup home alone all day or know someone who does. Share as you wish, Happy Easter, enjoy your weekend and Be Well!

The Fallacy of Fluoride

Of all the crazy things our government has done to its people this is one of the absolute blunders of our time. A byproduct of nuclear weapons manufacturing, aluminum, steel, cement and phosphate manufacturing comes fluoride. Someone explain to me where some dolt thought-“Hey its toxic waste, let’s make cities pay for it, and have them poison the people with it by adding it to their drinking water!”

“I am appalled at the prospect of using water as a vehicle for drugs. Fluoride is a corrosive poison that will produce serious effect on a long-range basis. Any attempt to use the water this way is deplorable.” Charles G. Heyd, M.D., Past President, AMA.

In our toothpaste, treatments as a children and even added to drinking water for adults and infants. Fluoride is in approximately 70% of all drinking water in the US. Over in Europe hardly any country fluoridates their water in fact less than 5% of Europe adds it at all. Wonder who’s making the commissions here in the US for selling it?

Apparently many of our city governments feel they know better than the people do and forcibly drug them via the provided water supply. There are various filters etc available for removing the fluoride from the faucet and shower. If you’re showering with it then it is making it into your system.

For a more in-depth explanation investigate Dr Weston Price and realize that our cultural conditioning is merely that. We have been raised to believe certain things as those before us did, which includes trusting the government and all of its agencies. Seems like a lifetime ago since I believed that way:)

“I cannot find any public evidence…that the AMA, the ADA (Dental), or several other health agencies, now recommending the fluoridation of water, had done any original (“experimental”) work of their own. These groups were simply endorsing each other’s opinions.” Justice John Flaherty, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, address, 1981.

Fluoride is found in nature and some foods but in minimal amounts. We have zero requirement for fluoride as it is not a nutrient and no one ever got a cavity from a lack of fluoride. Cavities are a result of mostly refined and processed foods. Not because the teeth were not being fluoridated either by toothpaste or water. There are many effective toothpaste alternatives that include zero fluoride.

Next week I will begin a simple contest and will be giving away 3 audio copies of my book Nutritional Truths! May the long weekend be a good one for you and please share this as you wish. Be well!
